With 6000 dollars Should i buy motorcycle or Car. ?

Jose Bouliouris: We all know we are more at risk when on 2 wheels - we haven't got as much protection as a car with airbags. I'm sure statistics will tell us loads of bikers die a year - sometimes it's our own fault, sometimes it's somebody else's. Yes we can't put the weekly shop on the back seat and no we can't take the whole family out but who cares!!!! Once you're out on the open road, none of the above matters - it's all about the ride. I'd rather die young and happy than live a long life worrying about the world and all that's wrong with it!...Show more

Maritza Ebanks: Santa Fe, I know 2 people who have them. No complaints so far.

Lue Podewils: You don't say what you currently drive, but I'm all about saving money, and spending a bit more on gas. It would take a few years of ownership, before you would reap the benefits in the Prius, I think. You are right, that is alot of money, focus on what can make you money, invest in your home instead, resale value! keeps rising, if you pick the right rooms to update.

Hilma Pestano: motorcycle on the short term. the fuel is cheaper and so on but when you get friends coming over and so on you will need a car to transport and to transport things from one place to another where as on a bike you cant carry much.

Keneth Mailhot: i would say get a car and when you get your PhD buy all the bikes you want

Nikita Schroepfer: With $6000, you get crappy car. With $6000, you get a pretty decent motorcycle.Car = more safety Motorcycle = lessThere are pros and cons, so you can choose.I would say car....Show more

Eli Trapeni: If I get a Toyota Prius, my car payment will be less than what I am currently spending on gas. But I'm having troubles wrapping my mind around spending $23,000 for a new car. It seems like so much! I haven't been this agitated about a purchase, since I bought my house! I am trying to focus on the monthly payment. I can buy new and the dealer will giv! e me 2.9% financing. If I buy used, the interest rate will be! so much higher, that my monthly payment won't be any cheaper, even though the car will cost less. So much to consider, thinking too hard, brain hurts. . ....Show more

Glynda Darrin: Cars are less dangerous

Dalia Causby: go for the car. motorcycles are too dangerous trust me.

Jonathon Labonne: Look at a VW diesel, they are cheaper and get great mileage. They also become worth the price premium (by saving on gas) much sooner than a Prius.

Marcelina Schossow: take from a biker go with car save up get motorcycle for fun and good weather days

Mark Villifana: I know the charger is better in performance but i'm sure that the mini is fun to drive and more fuel effecieny

Oscar Wieland: I think maybe you should Buy a good used small P/U and a good used small bike.that will fit in the truck.I'm sure you can buy both for $6,000.It's not wise to drive a bike in the winter months. You can learn to drive a vehicle through some driving schools and I! 'm sure the school you are Attending can help you with that. Good Luck

Lester Haschke: Spend more on gas.

Oscar Wieland: You will not want to drive your motorcycle in the winter. I would suggest a car. Perhaps purchase a motorcycle as well when you can afford it again. Drive one the motorcycle in good weather and the car in bad weather. Good luck to you!

Caleb Chapman: Hi, try this...make two columns on a sheet of paper, write in the first column what you need your car to do and write in the second column what you want your car to have. You didn't reveal what your current vehicle is, but if you're spending $300 or more a month on gas and upkeep (easy formula is about $20 monthly payment per $1000 financed, or about $460 for a $23,000 vehicle), then you are much better off getting a new vehicle, Prius or not.In other words, you are putting out more money than your current vehicle is worth to maintain. And it will only get harder to sell or trade a vehicl! e with exceptionally poor gas mileage as the price of gas goes up.Now, ! are you looking for bare bones transportation for one to four people that will take you 20-30 miles a day with the occasional long weekend trip? Then get a Yaris or Corolla. They run $14-16000ish with ABS (always buy vehicles with ABS). You will never justify spending the equivalent of a Camry or Prius (Prius is the equivalent of a Camry, not a Corolla). If you are looking for a more substantial vehicle that will be more comfortable for constant trips of 40-60 miles daily with consistent longer trips and more comfort features, then consider the Prius or Camry. The Prius is the flagship of Toyota for advanced technology. The Prius is a vehicle that will take some practice to get the most benefit from it, just like moving from a stick to an automatic, or vice-versa.You need to decide what you need and then want your vehicle to do for you, and then you look for a vehicle that fits those criteria, not the other way around. Only then do you start going through auto lots on Sunday! s to see what is out there (closed on Sundays). One other note, when gas prices go up, and the benefits of a hybrid become more obvious, Prius will become harder to find and any discounts on them will become smaller. You may have a harder time later in the summer when gas hits $4.00 per gallon to get the fuel efficient vehicle you want, be it a Prius, Corolla, Yaris or Camry.Contact me if you have any other questions. Good luck....Show more

Rose Krouse: Unless you are using a trike, don't try to use a motorcycle in winter in KY. You will get yourself or someone else injured.

Launa Weingarten: Buy the car and after the motorcycle. The car is a neccesity and the bike is an extra.

Luke Kosch: Chargers have not been "real" Chargers since they went to a 4 door model. Go with the Mini.

Joie Kemmis: Go for both. Look for each used low miles and have them checked out before you buy. People need money and hard time making payments so do both.rd

Tommy ! Durrenberger: Definitely buy or lease the new car, I just leased a bran! d new Corolla and I am so glad I did. It's amazing on gas, and eventhough cars are not a good investment, at least you are putting some equity into it.

Alisa Kaleiwahea: a car it is more realiyible and it lastes a lot longer.

Houston Venezia: you don't ride a motorcycle in the winter. It is dangerous. I would take some driving lessons and get a driver's license then get a small car.

Lolita Deschamp: Don't just focus on one car. Check out the Fit, Versa and Yaris. All get great gas mileage and cost about $10,000 less. Yes, they don't get the awesome mileage of the Prius, but that $10k will buy you a lot of gas.....

Kandi Lough: car.you can drive it more then a motorcycle.

Chi Alfero: Hi! So, I live in Texas and I am going up to Utah this coming up winter semester for the fall. I have test drove many cars and I am considering these two. The Santa Fe has 32k and the Grand Vitara has 28k. Both are AWD, which I need in the snow. I know that Suzuki! won't be selling cars in the US anymore and I don't know if that is a concern. I liked both cars, but I don't know which I should get. They both drive nicely and have plenty of room. I didn't see any concern with the report history or anything. Which car would you recommend that I get? Thanks! :)...Show more
