Car maintenance at 40,000 miles (2006 Toyota Corolla)?

Tommy Durrenberger: Michael Lee and Roger Lewis posted the same question. You should see their answers side by side.

Vickie Sterbenz: 40k your fine just oil change nothing else needs to be done at the low meilage.Plugs are good for 100k =tranny fine = radiator fine = nothing you need to do at all but drive and have fun.

Randal Deyarmond: Toyota 40000 Mile Service

Caryl Mclaen: You can have all confidence that your car is reliable when all the dealer service is done by schedule. They look out for many things they can prevent going wrong. You could do the service yourself if you had the skill and education, but most people don't.The way more Toyotas last 200,000 miles and more is regular service and high-quality parts. It's very frustrating trying to find late model Toyota parts in the salvage yard.I change the oil in my 98 Corolla annually, but I use synthetic. I replaced a leaking water pump at 115,000 miles and a leaking power steering hose at 125,000 m! iles. I get the wheels aligned when I wear out the tires and replace them. I do my own brake jobs. The platinum plugs I put in back in 2003 are still good. If course I change air filters when they get dirty. The timing chain needs no service....Show more

Donnie Bolio: 2006? your warranty is probably expired im guessing?if you have a valid warranty follow the dang maint intervals. if you dont they can hold it against you if your engine blows up etc.did the 30,000 mile service include a tranny fluid flush? thats pretty important....Show more
