If not, maybe you should try to convince her to let you take classes online. Tell her that being social during school time is just a distraction, and with online school you wouldn't have those distractions. With the flexibility of an online school, there are no worries about social life. THere are no set hours you have to be in school. There is a minimum # of hours you need to spend each day, but you could still work for a couple of hours, take a break/go somewhere, and come back and work more later. (with homeschooling you have to pay for books& stuff, cyber charter schools are free- your public school district has to pay) and you'll still stay semi-social.or, if you really want to home school, make an effort to stay social. make a daily and weekly schedule with your mom. you'll work on schoolwork from 7-11 then have a lunch break then work again from 11-2. then from 4-6 you will find an activity to do every day.example:monday- art classtuesday- basketball at a local recreation center or your high schoolwednesday- meet with a home school groupthursday- do something with your mom. movies, bowling, whatever.friday- meet with a home school groupsaturday- invite a friend over.sunday- youth group at churchthere are plenty of ways for you to stay social- having friends is important, don't isolate yourself!*you should try to find some kind of writing class for teens-check with your high school, church, library, rec center (or some kind of community center, like a YMCA)-lo! ok for home school groups near you-look for classes on things your interested in- yahoo local is a good place to check online (http://local.yahoo.com/)good luck!! ;)...Show more
