Chet Nozick: A TENS device is normally used where people have pain which is not constant. For example some people who lost a limb have "phantom limb" pain because the nerve endings for the missing limb can still be stimulated. the TENS provides a tolerable but constant pain, which for some people allows them to "zone out" both the constant and the occasional pa! in. My wife broke a rib and used TENS, which she found very helpful.It doesn't work for everyone. I'm unsure how TENS works with a massager....Show more
