Marcelle Vanlith: I put one in the socket above the vanity mirror. Its facing the backside, the wall, not the side walls where the corners are. It seems to diffuse the light enough to work well in that area. I put one in the office too, seems okay there.

Joesph Smithmyer: depending on what you are trying to kill, i generally like a 50/50 mix of sugar and borax. Trying to clean? vinager and water, imo will clean anything. (make sure that you spot test a hidden spot ;) )

William Vickerman: Because a lot of people don't believe in global warming which is ridiculous because there are hard core facts proving that there is. Peopl! e say that they are just making those facts up to get us to re! cycle. Well, why are they trying to get us to recycle. There is obviously a good reason if they are trying to trick you into doing it. And that reason is global warming! It's a major pet-peeve of mine!

Inez Relihan: I bought this 7w led, regular socket bulb, but its way to bright for smaller rooms like the bathroom. Its 560 lumens 5000k cool. I probably should of bought a lower wattage bulb, maybe 3-5 watts? It is a little late now. I could return them but I like them to much. They do save lots of energy. So what should I do?
Inez Relihan: Well, CFLs do poorly in places where they experience extreme ! temperature or humidity swings, or rapid on/off cycles. So, I would think that LEDs would be a better choice for those.Bathrooms and outdoor places (like porches) in particular are subject to humidity and temperature. So LEDs are better suited to those than CFLs are.LEDs can be used with dimmers, I think, so perhaps you could put an LED on a dimmer switch in the bathroom? Since you said it’s normally too bright. Dimmer switches aren’t terribly expensive, and you wouldn’t have to buy any special dimmer (like for a CFL) since any old dimmer switch should work for an LED....Show more
Abel Adger: The only thing you should recycle is metals. Recycling anything else is terrible for the environment. Especially paper and glass! anyone who says otherwise should go back to school (except most schools are still preaching recycling).
