Sena Highman: The film was made by Sony Pictures to cash in on the surge of Beatles popularity at that time, and it was cheap to make to boot because they didn't use any original recordings and Sony controls the copyrights of all the songs used in the movie. The movie was filled with references to their songs, but very few references to the band its self.
Warren Kotter: The whole movie, is essentially based off The Beatles, they use Beatles songs and the names of the characters are references to The Beatles. If you're joking, ha ha.
