Verdie Wollen: I do crocheting, because I love to make things from basically nothingI do macrame - these I think look so much better than the plastic hangers most people leave on hanging plants.I love gardening as I live in the Northeast and everything dies out in the winter.I love rug making.I used to love reading, but since I lost my center vision, I can only see 3 letters at a time, so I listen to a lot of audio books.I love making gifts for people: Therapeutic heating bags, afghans, scarves, bags, christmas ornaments, dinners for my neighbors as they are now widowed and no longer get home cooked meals.Actually if you look in my house, there are very few items that I made, mostly because I have given them to others. I love the look on their faces when they receive and item I made and realize how long it took me to make.I used to make miniatures, and do programming. Some day I will do these again. Tre! na Berum: I have a lot of them.~Knitting - You can make almost anything by knitting, and it's simple, just two stitches to remember, Knit and Purl. And it's super relaxing, why do you think it's so popular. My favorite by a mile!~Crochet - Like knitting, just with more stitches.~Origami - It is just so amazing watching a piece of paper transform into something so 3D. Again very simple.~Sleeping - This one is partially a joke. It's just so rejuvenating. :-P~Jewelry making - There are many sides to jewelry making. Not very cheap, but very rewarding. If you are interested, go to Monsterslayer.com for supplies. They are cheap!~Reading - Is my safe place when I have a bad day. A really good thriller is almost always best, except for Inkheart (my fave book, I've read it like 10 times.)~Karate - Kempo is my style. I am addicted to it. It's like kick boxing or something, you can really let off some steam. Dont ever do Taekwondo, I mean how stupid is it to kick at somebody's head, w! ith you're toes pointed at them. :-/ I'm only a green belt and! I could beat any black belt in Taekwondo.There are way too many more to count :-P...Show more

They're magnificent.I enjoy playing board games with my kids.I love reading all kinds of fiction, especially novels for kids in the 10-14 age bracket.
