David Boehler: Not looking to buy new equipment. I know where I can get a good, used 1-ton dump truck for $1,500 and I will be looking for a used chipper. Just need money to get used equipment. I guess for now, I'll just have to trailer it.
Jesse Japak: I know when my dad was the Fire Chief, he would apply for grants and get them, but I know my job is different. I am really not asking for free money just so I can get stuff, if I have to pay it back, so be it. I will be doing tree removal, but I can't get a business loan without proving I have jobs coming in, and I can't get jobs coming in without equipment, and I can't get equipment with jobs. A vicious cycle.

Use your common sense. You know it doesn't seem realistic, and if you continue to pursue it you will eventually fall for a scam.I'm sure someone will come along and post some links to a website claiming to have grants, but I challenge you to ask them if they PERSONALLY have received a grant using the website. Of course the answer will be no.EDIT:Apples and oranges, as you admitted yourself. Trust me, if you could get a grant to start a business, everyone would do it (including myself).
