Did no. of people renting during the recession increase?

Shemeka Laker: Yes, the number of people renting went up, since the housing market collapsed. The places available to rent did get more expensive since the renting market got tighter.

Theresia Fashaw: It seems that way to me in California. I have been looking for an affordable senior apartment and all the waiting lists are closed, so that means people had to retire early, or lost their houses and are taking all the senior apartments. I dont know. I never encountered this before.

Eulah Hugill: Yes, more people were renting. Some condo communities that didn't allow renters were forced to change their rules, too.
