Extreme example was during the dark ages there was hardly any kind of art being created but once society began to emerge from that period, the Renaissance took place and also a renewed outlook on life in general. Bryan Avinger: Modest Mussorgsky's piano composition 'Pictures at an Exhibition' turns his stroll through an art gallery into a musical version of the same thing.
