Barton Morfee: Well yes you are constantly downloading and uploading, however not from other players but rather the server. As the online game runs in real time all players have to upload the information of what they are doing to the server (i.e. If I am shooting then the server would have to know that). This information is then downloaded by other players from the server (not from you) so that on their pc it shows you shooting, and vice versa. So, I would have to say that the online games are responsible for your notification, however I can't say that it is the full cause.By the way, I am talking about online games such as Counter Strike, World of Warcraft, Battlefield... not web browser games such as miniclip sites and runescape, those you do not need to worry about....Show more
